Pillar Rock at 780m or 2559ft is classed by some as a separate peak. It clings to the north east flank of Pillar 892m or 2926ft. Walkz.com usually ascend this peak as part of a round from Wasdale Head from the south (8miles with a height gain of 1345m) The rock ascent is classed as a grade 3 scramble but we climb it with full rock climbing equipment. |
