Big Tick1                     The Ascent of Scafell Pike

A photograph of Scafell Pike Scafell Pike at 977m or 3206ft is the Highest Peak in England. Walkz.com's groups usually ascend this peak from either Seathwaite farm from the north (9miles with a height gain of 884m) or Wasdale Head from the south west (5miles with a height gain of 913m). Both are demanding walks and can be dangerous in poor weather. The route is rocky and sometimes rather exposed. Having said that, thousands of people of all abilities successfully complete the ascent.
