Many people become concerned at the mere mention of Navigation but the basics are learned very quickly and then it is up to individuals to progress to whatever level they feel happy.

Training is based on the National Navigation Award Scheme which has three levels:

Bronze:  Very simple navigation ideal for the beginner or the hill walker wanting to refresh skills.

Silver:      Adding a few new skills to assist in safe and enjoyable walking in the hills of the United Kingdom.

Gold:        Advanced skills for the committed navigator.

Training Course are of Two days Duration which can be taken together or on separate days.

Assessment involves an additional day which can be taken at the end of the course or on another occasion to suit the client.

Those taking Gold Training have take the Assessment at a different Centre at a later date.
